I’ve spent quite a bit of time curating my Instagram feed. Every month or so I go through my list of “following” and unfollow any accounts that don’t add value to my life or make me laugh – minimalism lives within the squares. It makes me feel sad to think about any of you missing out on the style, laughter, advice and food these ladies bring me. So, without further ado, here are my very favorite Instagram accounts to follow.
Danielle Moss is one of the co-founders of The Everygirl, a brilliant online lifestyle magazine. I more often think of her as the Queen of Neutral. Not only do I like every one of her images, I usually save them to my Instagram profile, which equates to total adoration. If I could hire to Danielle to style my home and wardrobe you better believe I would. I also really appreciate Danielle’s vulnerability about the emotional struggles that she faces – it’s refreshing.
Danielle just got married to her husband, Conor, in Paris and they honeymooned in Italy. It was the most exciting two weeks in Instagram history. Seriously, go back to her feed and check out the amazing images. And I would be remiss not to mention her Chihuahua, Buddy. He is the most perfectly trained Instagram dog you will ever meet. See for yourself.
Landyn Hutchinson is a lifestyle blogger based in Nashville. I can’t remember how I came to follow her, but holy cow – sister knows what she wants, and she goes after it. Landyn blogs mostly about style, but every once in a while, she throws a recipe in there. I love following Landyn because she Instastories the everyday moments of her life, and I guess I just like knowing how other people spend their time.
Her husband is a retired NFL player and together they have established a healthy living, so I can’t super-relate to a lot of her style and home décor choices, but it’s still fun to see what she’s loving! Overall, she is an entertaining person to follow and she has a way of inspiring me to get after it.
One day while I was watching Landyn’s Instastories, she insisted that everyone go and follow Bev Cooks. So, I did, and I’ll never quit her. Bev is primarily a food blogger, based in Kansas City, and probably the most hilarious woman I follow. The official Instastory Queen. She’s very theatrical, and even if I don’t care about what she’s talking about – I watch. Bev is a neutralist, so we have the same sense in fashion and I love to see what she’s wearing.
As I type this out, I’m realizing that there are so many things I love about her! She didn’t have kids until she was older, she loves wine and rose and face masks, and the recipes of hers that I have made are all outstanding – I just made her seared salmon a few weeks ago. She’s a little quirky, but I highly recommend!
Jacquelyn is my gal pal behind Lark & Linen, a lifestyle blog, and I just like her more every single day. I first became a follower because of her doodle (shocking, I know), Sage. Sage is one of the cutest doodles I know on Instagram, and her mom always photographs her in the best light and cutest spots! Much like Danielle, I “save” almost every single one of Jacquelyn’s posts because her design eye is on point. She puts things together that I love, but could never curate.
This summer she took a trip to Lisbon that was kind of the final “push” I needed to start planning our trip to Spain. We’ve since put those plans on hold because of Catalan’s independence movement, but I’ll be referencing her Lisbon posts when the trip comes back to life. Oh, and the key to my love for Jacquelyn – she’s Canadian! I simply can’t have enough Canadian voices in my day-to-day. I’m obsessed.
Which leads me to the one and only Jillian Harris. Many of you may remember Jillian as the Bachelorette many, many years ago. I loved her then, and I stumbled upon her Instagram when she announced her pregnancy to little Leo. Y’all, this girl’s life is bananas. She is the co-host of Love It Or List It Too and major lifestyle blogger with a bagillion Instagram followers. That’s because her Instagram feed is so wonderfully curated.
Canadian accent and glamorous life aside, Jillian holds nothing back. She talks to Instagram all day long about every single thing she is doing. She’s quite whiny, but she knows it which makes it tolerable. Jillian and her fiancé, Justin, just finished building their house in Canada and it’s immaculate. It’s fun to keep up with her life, and her precious little Leo!
You know. You all know that I love me some Lara Casey. If you don’t know, you must be new here, so… welcome. You can read about my love for Lara here. I obviously love to follow Lara for her guidance and advice on setting good goals. As the designer of the PowerSheets, there is really no one better suited to walk me through that process. Lara also has a powerful testimony, and she is open and honest about her faith walk. I so appreciate her perspective and how rooted she is in the word of God. Every time I see Lara in Instastories, I am encouraged.
Jess Connolly is a Christian writer and speaker who I have only been following for the last year or so. I adore her! Jess and her husband planted a church in Charleston, South Carolina. They have four kiddos who are cute, but their marriage is the best! Jess launched here first solo book a couple of weeks ago. I haven’t purchased it yet, but I am looking forward to reading it someday. I love Jess’s encouragement in faith, but I also love how goofy she is, and how she rocks her curves. Check her out, you’ll love her.
Robyn Downs was on Jenna Kutcher’s podcast for a mentoring session, and that’s how I started following her. I follow Robyn for her recipes, which are focused on using real, whole ingredients. She started developing recipes as treatment for her auto-immune disease. We have a few recipes in our regular rotation, and she is always coming out with new ones to try. Presently, I can’t wait to try her sweet potato chili! Robyn lives in Portland with her daughter and husband. She’s so sweet, and I love having another resource for healthy recipes.
A few honorable mentions, whom I also love to follow…
Instagram is such a fun platform. I know that it has a time and place, but I believe that if you’re following people who are uplifting and funny it can be a sweet escape. Y’all need to check these gals out. If you have any accounts that you love to follow, I’d love for you to share them in the comments! I love food, travel, faith and style. And also Canadians. And also really cute children.
