So, that’s my kitchen…in my dreams. I have no idea when or where the blue cabinet trend came from, but I could just kiss whoever brought it to life! Even though my actual kitchen is far more humble, I absolutely love being in it. Cooking is my absolute favorite thing to do, and it all starts with a trip to the grocery store.
I go grocery shopping once a week, usually on Monday evening after work. On Sunday afternoon I sit down with my computer and cookbooks (Pinterest, too) to decide what we’re going to eat that week!
As I’m creating my list, I only put items on the list that will be consumed in the next seven days. That means that by Sunday our cabinets are basically bare, and I love it! No waste! Our meal plan and grocery list are both on a shared Evernote, which is nice because I can just pull the grocery list up on my phone when I get there, and Jordan can add to it if there is something specific that he needs.
Most of the time I do my grocery shopping at our local Kroger. The shallow reason is that it’s the cleanest and feels the most “markety”, but it’s also the easiest for me to get to from work. I (finally) know where everything is, so I rarely go anywhere else. I am in and out within twenty minutes and on my way home to the kitchen <3
I’m sure you’re all dying of curiosity, so I attached an image of this week’s list!
Jordan is going to be out of town this weekend, which explains the frozen pizza and mac&cheese. Winning!
