The kitchen is my favorite room. So much of life’s good stuff happens in the kitchen: morning coffee, welcome home kisses, preparing meals, and long conversations. Claire Delmar is a brilliant food and interior stylist, with an extraordinary Instagram. InsideOut magazine featured her recently renovated kitchen and I think I may have drooled on my keyboard while viewing it. I mean, concrete + marble + brass + wood — yeah. Just look at these images…
Last week, on Instagram, I talked about one of my Sunday rituals: meal planning and grocery shopping. To be honest, I meal plan because I have to. If I were to go to the grocery store without a list, we would literally eat sandwiches everyday of the week. I just don’t have the ability to whip together a meal with whatever is in the kitchen, although I so wish I did.
It seems that a lot of us get hung up on what to make for dinner. I’ll admit we have a lot of classics that I end up making a few times a month. But that doesn’t mean I don’t try to bring new items to the table. I use Pinterest and cookbooks to find new recipes for us to enjoy. Last week’s dinner plan was super yum so I thought I would share it with you below!
- Monday: Sweet Potato and Turkey Skillet
- Tuesday: Summer Corn Soup
- Wednesday: Italian Sausage Linguine with Butter Sauce
- Thursday: Papa Del’s Pizza (a Champaign classic)
- Friday: Shrimp Fajitas
What are you making for dinner these days?
