If you follow me on Twitter or Instagram than you probably already know that I spent last week in Chicago at the National Bridal Market. Can you believe that I get paid to shop for wedding dresses?! Anyway, on Monday night we went to dinner at The Hampton Social and I can’t stop telling my friends and family about it…so naturally I must tell all of you!
Located in the River North area of Chicago, The Hampton Social perfectly executed the preppy, nautical vibe. From the moment you walk into the restaurant you can only assume that you have arrived in the East Coast’s very best spot. Boat wood ceilings, columns wrapped in rope, and a few hammocks located in the casual seating nooks are just a few of the elements that bring The Hampton Social to life.
We arrived a little earlier than the friend we were set to meet, so we took a seat at the incredible bar. For the last couple of months I have been in a bubbly state of mind, so I started the night off with a glass of champagne. It was delightful, to say the least. As an appetizer we enjoyed the Lobster Mac & Cheese. I’m almost embarrassed to tell you that I paired champagne with lobster mac. Even still, I have no words that would accurately describe the sheer deliciousness of the cheesy pasta goodness. I’m hopeful that you will all be able to taste of it someday!
For dinner I ordered the Seafood Linguine, which was surprisingly a bit spicy! I wish there would have been more meat in the dish, but I probably would need to order a few noodles with my calamari, shrimp, and mussels to truly be happy. Any other seafood lovers out there?
I hope to someday take Jordan to The Hampton Social so that I can enjoy it with him. I know he would approve of the bar, and he loves seafood just as much as I do. If you find your self in Chicago’s River North, please do yourself a favor and make yourself at home in The Hampton Social.
